One tip for those of you who play with Fishman Aura Spectrum DI.
This is how your piezzo guitar can sound. The trick is in blending a) clear or processed sound of your guitar with b) the sound of an acoustic image from Aura Spectrum.
Don't use BLEND knob of Aura Spectrum. Most likely it will sound unsatisfied because of phase shift problems. Phase shift switch will not help in this case.
Use any kind of splitter to divide your guitar sound into two lines. Then mix them any way you want. One guitar line can go to any processor to give your sound some space effect, for example. Another guitar line (from Aura) goes to a mixer dry as it is - blend it to your taste to give what it is meant to give - more life, more live sound, not "plastic" piezzo...
Or you can mix them both and process together - any way you want now. But be sure to get 2 guitar sounds - a clear one and another one from Aura. Now you can try with Phase Shift switcher of Aura - choose the best position, where you don't miss low frequencies.
What I did when I recorded this track was:
1) I switched my Godin Multiac Steel SA to Roland VG-99 (I used it as a splitter only)
2) I sent clear guitar signal from the OUTPUT GUITAR to AURA SPECTRUM DI (my preset was: dreadnought #3)
3) I sent non-processed guitar sound from MAIN OUT to Strymon BigSky and used there some plate reverb (bank 08)
4) I routed all 3 signals to a sound card to channels 1,2 for Strymon and 3 for Aura
5) Recorded the melody
6) Leveled the balance and used some final mastering plug-ins
7) You get it
